Collaborative Work with BTs
I have built a supportive and collaborative coaching relationship with our beginning teachers. I developed an open google calendar link that connects to meeting times on my calendars for teacher to book and use for whatever conversations they wish to have with me. I have also allowed our teachers to participate in a "give one get one" goal protocol for walkthrough feedback where teachers selected a goal they wanted to work on while getting a goal from me to look for during walkthroughs. Additionally, all beginning teacher trainings allow teachers to work in groups and share ideas, some of which are eventually shared on our BT Blog as well.

House Challenge - Neal
In my last semester at Neal, I developed a house system EOG review challenge for our 8th graders. It is adapted here as it might be for a high school freshman academy, and a proposal for future use at Hillside. This built a positive culture among students at Neal and build in a lot of the PBIS values of the school.

Celebrating and Empowering
I have consistently played a role in nominating our new teachers to be celebrated as "beginning teachers of the month" while also empowering them to write to their peers via the BT Blog. To celebrate our counselors, I led Counselor's Appreciation Week, creating the embedded video below for our counseling team. These celebrations have been among my favorite work at Hillside and remind us of the powerful work going on inside of our building.

Element IIID: Efficacy and Empowerment.
The school executive develops a sense of efficacy and empowerment among staff which influences the school’s identity, culture and performance.
In the midyear reflection attached below, I empowered teachers to give their feedback on all BT programming and select the focus for the second half of the year. Teachers gave excellent feedback and particularly guided the creation of our Hillside Out of the Box PD. Teachers saw their suggestions and leadership clearly reflected in second semester professional development. Additionally, teachers have continued submitting reflections for out BT blog and using these as artifacts on their teacher leadership standard evaluation.
