Hornet Academy PLT / Leadership PLT
At Hillside High School we have a leadership team professional learning team (PLT) comprised of all department chairs, special programs coordinators, and specialists, which helps facilitate school-wide decision-making and implementation for our school improvement plan. We also have a PLT for Hornet Academy. Both function according to their norms and ensure a professional environment for analyzing data and making decisions based off of our school's current progress. Below are examples of the agendas for meetings I have participated in.

Beginning Teacher Programming
I was tasked with building our beginning teacher programming for the 2017-2018 school year. I have built a program that ensures a combination of differentiated support, key professional development, and check-ins for support. I have coordinated with the district Full Release mentor to ensure that BTs at Hillside are receiving consistent support and feedback.

The school executive evaluates teachers and other staff in a fair and equitable manner with the focus on improving performance and, thus student achievement.

Coaching Sessions
As part of evaluating and mentoring staff, I provide additional coaching sessions after observations, allowing for a lower stakes, non-evaluative opportunity for teachers to grow and receive a more detailed and comprehensive feedback that would normally be provided by a walkthrough. I give teachers this option at their post conference. The link below shows and example of one of these coaching sessions.
